Welcome to the Moray Firth Spaniel & Retriever Club web site. The club was established in 1988 with the aim of improving gundog standards and attracting people into the sport. Over the years the club has grown into one of Scotland’s premier gundog clubs, we run retriever and spaniel trials and tests annually. Being affiliated to the Kennel Club of Great Britain, all club events are run in conjunction with their rules and regulations.
The club holds a large membership who come from all over the UK and Europe. Each year the club organises 4 trials. 2 for Retrievers. Novice AV and 1-Day Open AV. A further 2 trials for spaniels. Novice AV and Open AV (Except cockers)
The club also runs a number of Working Tests during the spring/summer months.
As everybody involved in field sports is aware, there is constant pressure being applied from external sources to restrict our sport. It is the aims of the Moray Firth Spaniel & Retriever Club to encourage people to want to train and compete with their dogs and help support the field sports community. This will ensure that the club and the sport remain for the enjoyment of future generations.
