Our 12 dog open AV trial was held at Moy estate, we would like to thank the Heather club for allowing us to hold our trial there, and also thank Ian McCann the Head keeper and Declan.

Our 16 dog AV novice Trial was held at Tomatin estate, we would like to thank David and Fiina Thompsom from D and FM sporting for providing are fabulous day.

2020 Retriever Trials ….

We are yet to make a decision as to whether we will be holding field trials in the 2020/21 season. We will meet again at the end of September and publish an update afterwards.

2018 Retriever Trials

Our Novice Trial for 16 AV Retrievers took place on 23rd October this year. Thanks to our hosts at Allangrange Estate and keeper Dave Anderson. We also wish to thank the guns and all of the others who came along to help and of course our judges: Philip Turner, Martin Rush, Stan Payne & Kevin Haynes

We’d like to thank our hosts and keeper anf guns at Altyre Estate for another grand Open Trial for 12 AV Retrievers, on Mon 22nd October. Giving us their time to judge were Philip Turner, Martin Rush, John MacColl and Thomas Brady. On this occasion there were no awards given.

Our Novice Retriever trial was held at Allangrange EState, Munlochy again this year on 28th Nov. MFSRC Novice 2017

Our Open Retriver trial was one again hosted by Sir Alastair Gordon Cumming at Altyre Estate and took place on 9th November.

Thanks go to our judges Roddy Forbes, Mike Rolland, Janice Cunningham & John MacColl as well as to all those who helped on the day.

There were no award winners this year.


2016 Retriever Trials

Our congratulations go to Sandy Robertson who handled his Labrador dog Garshake Dillon to win our Open Retriever Trial and make the dog up to a FTCh under judges Philip Turner, Richard Johnston, Thomas Brady and Ian Christie on 24th October. Once again, we were at Altyre Estate by the kind permission of Sir Alasdair Gordon-Cumming and keeper Peter Cairney. Once again we would like to thank them for putting on such a good day and having us back there again. We would also like to thank our sponsors Judges Choice dog food, CD McNeill and D & FM Sporting as well as everyone who helped us on the day.

Our Novice Retriever Trial took place at Allangrange Estate on 29th October. Judges for the day were Tom Smith, Gary Youngson, Tom Forgie & Kevin Haynes. We wish to thank them again for agreeing to judge for us and our hosts and guns at Allangrange.

Sadly there were no awards given this year so that means we’ll have time to get an extra special shine polished onto the trophies for next year!

Retriever Qualifying Open Stake at Tomatin on Tuesday 14th October:

Thank you to Davy Thomson of D&FM Sporting for hosting the trial. The weather was fine – perfect for a walked up shoot on the hill. A mixed bag of hare, partridge and pheasant.
